Last week we had the joy of hosting the Diocese of the South Pastoral Conference. Our summer intern, Deacon Sergio, was ordained to the Holy Priesthood during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Thursday, February 5th. It was such a blessing for us to remember that we are a part of something much larger than just our local parish. We are connected to our Diocese through the ministry of our beloved Archbishop Alexander. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)
It was only 20 years ago that we began as a small group of Orthodox Christians, struggling to establish a mission in the piedmont of North Carolina. Now, by God's grace, we have been honored to host the pastoral conference for our diocese! Glory to God for all things!
