Beautify the House of the Lord!

Back in May 2025, Fr. Christopher presented the first phase of our new iconography program. This phase focuses on paintings in and around the dome of the:

  • Pantocrator Icon of Christ

  • Old Testament prophets

  • Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John with their traditional symbols

  • Christ Not Made with Hands Icon

  • Theotokos of the Sign Icon

The four columns of the nave will also be decoratively painted during this phase.

Our goal is to raise $40,000 so that our iconographer, John Jurewicz, can begin work in late fall or early winter of 2025.

UPDATE: John is now on site, a week earlier than planned, and has begun work on Phase 1. Our hope is that this work will be completed before our Nativity feast day. We are very excited!
