Fr. Christopher and Genevieve Lyday traveled to DC this past week for the fall Metropolitan Council meeting for the Orthodox Church in America (OCA).
The Metropolitan Council is the permanent executive body of the OCA which implements the decisions of the All-American Council and continues its work between sessions. Fr. Christopher was elected by the 21st All-American Council in July 2025 and Genevieve was elected by the Diocese of the South to serve on the Metropolitan Council.
It is great to see clergy and lay people working together for the upbuilding of the church.
