“Burnout is (I think) basically unavoidable. There really is a 100% chance of experiencing it when we convert, though each person’s experience of it will be different. That moment of… feeling the loss of joy that you once had when you first converted or that sour taste of the bile of Orthodox burnout is one of the first hints that you are actually, truly, really, finally growing as an Orthodox Christian.”
