We welcomed Mary, a new catechumen, to Holy Cross before Divine Liturgy yesterday and celebrated the Sunday of Orthodoxy with a procession around the church. Some of the friends and faithful of Holy Cross also participated in a Pan-Orthodox Vespers service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem on Sunday evening.
We venerate Thy most pure image, O Good One; and ask forgiveness of our transgressions, O Christ our God. Of Thine own will Thou wast pleased to ascend the Cross in the flesh and deliver Thy creatures from bondage to the Enemy. Therefore with thanksgiving we cry aloud to Thee: “Thou hast filled all with joy, O our Savior, by coming to save the world.”
Many thanks to Angelo and Sergey for these photos!
