November 9, 2025
This past Sunday afternoon, November 9th, we gathered at the Transfiguration Chapel at the Sprinkles’ home for our fourth annual singing of the beautiful Akathist of Thanksgiving hymn. Despite a bit of rain, it was a joyous time of prayer and fellowship just a few days before we enter into the Nativity fast on Saturday, November 15th.
Glory to God for all things!
You can find the text of the Akathist on page 189 of Orthodox Christian Prayers published by St. Tikhon’s Monastery Press. (Copies of the prayer book are for sale in our bookstore.)
A PDF version is also available on the website of Christ the Savior Church, OCA.
